A multi-use recreational facility, built in 2002, features:

arena

Arena:  regulation-sized, heated artificial ice surface, in operation from end of August to approximately the end of April annually... with a licensed spectator seating area for up to 1,100 fans.  During the summer months the regulation size concrete arena is utilized for Lacrosse, rollerblading, socials and is available for other various events.

curling

 Curling Club: six sheets of the best curling ice... three levels of spectator seating, fitting  upwards of 250 people... the IceBreaker Lounge offers a licensed lounge & bar area including a dance floor and satellite TV.  During the off season this large concrete surface is also rented for various events such as Trade and Art Shows and other Social events.

- Multi-purpose Meeting Rooms:  Situated within the Sun Gro Centre are two meeting rooms available year-round for business and private functions... will comfortably sit between 15-125 people. Our foodservices will gladly work with you to provide coffee and meal services for any event within the facility.

- Indoor Walking Track:  situated around the arena ice surface, free to everyone and open (winter) weekdays from 6:00am until the building closes each evening & weekends from 8:30am until building closes; open (summer) weekdays 6am-6pm & Saturdays from 9am-2pm, closed Sundays.  The walking track is also closed if an admission event takes place.

The Sun Gro Centre is pleased to be able to provide top-quality ice, and we encourage all ages to participate in sport activities.  Many sports are proud to call this place home, including hockey, figure skating, speed skating, ringette, curling, lacrosse & broomball!

Be sure to visit our Pro Shop for all your skate sharpening needs and limited sports supplies. 

Hungry crowds will be pleasantly surprised with a visit to our concession, which offers a delicious and varied menu. Full meal and snack/coffee services are available through our foodservices department.
